Tools like Ahrefs or Screaming Frog can help you spot them, and Google Search Console sometimes reveals weird stuff too. I’d start there, then clean up anything sketchy. Outreach is usually easier when you frame it like fixing a broken part of the ‘storyline’—most site owners don’t want hidden links dragging them down either.
